Global Thalassemia Foundation operates on a 100% charitable mandate.
Legal status
Global Thalassemia Foundation (GTF) is established as a charitable organization. Registration as a charity in the United Kingdom is pending. We operate for the public benefit with the object of advancing health and preventing disease, in particular in relation to Thalassemia and inherited blood disorders.
Charitable mandate
GTF operates on a 100% charitable mandate. We do not operate for profit. Funds raised are used to:
- Establish and run Pakistan’s first Gene Therapy Centre for a one-time cure
- Deploy and operate mobile Thalassemia Prevention Units (screening and counseling)
- Support underprivileged patients and families
- Cover necessary operational, governance, and reporting costs
Transparency
We are committed to transparency in our governance, finances, and outcomes. We report to our donors and trustees and will publish key information in line with regulatory requirements once registration is complete.

We are in the process of registering with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Our charity number will be published here once registration is complete.
